I grew up in a quiet suburb of Seattle, Washington with a summer cabin on nearby Hood Canal. Growing up, I spent most of my time involved in competitive swimming. In fact, Olympic Gold-Medalist Mark Spitz actually taught me some of my very first lessons at the age of five, when I was just getting started! Always taking part in waterskiing, crabbing, digging for clams, and picking oysters right off the beach, I never could get enough time on the water. Now living in Arizona, I enjoy golfing and I just try to keep my game out of the sand traps and the water that I usually like so much!
I’ve been married to my college sweetheart, Amy since 1998. We first met at the University of Washington while I was obtaining my B.A. in Sociology and Amy was earning a B.A. in History. Since then, things sure have changed. We welcomed our son Jack in 2002 and our daughter Emma in 2005. We love getting involved with our communities and are no strangers to change. We’ve lived in several states over the years, and have formed great friendships with many people along the way. Amy is such an amazing person and remains the love of my life in every sense of the word. She has always been a crafter, and owns a small sewing business creating projects for people locally as well as all over the world.
We have two children, Jack and Emma. Our teenage son Jack loves basketball, football and playing video games with his friends. Thankfully, he is also an avid reader who can get lost within the pages of a good book for hours. Our daughter Emma enjoys swimming and playing volleyball. She also helps her mom with crafts/sewing and loves to read just as much as her big brother.
The things I enjoy tend to be sports related. I like cycling, mountain biking, playing poker with friends and most days you can still find me in the pool swimming laps. Baseball is my favorite professional sport to follow. I love our Arizona Diamondbacks, and still follow the Seattle Mariners as well.
I’m heartfelt and compassionate about the people and things I love. I’d like to thank you for taking some time to get to know a bit about me and I’m looking forward to learning about you, too!
